Some help may be available after the warranty expires.

NOTE: I have not been able to verify this document - the number is not correct, or at least we can't find it.

From Bob Bergevin:

An independent warranty newsletter that many dealers subscribe to refers to a (then) CC warranty bulletin # D-87-14 published 6/3/97 which describes the procedure to warranty paint problems, especially delamination problems. GM had problems of a similar nature, and opened the repairs to any owner of the affected years, makes and models. Nothing hidden. The warranty bulletin publisher feels that DC "...willy nillys the calls to CC Customer Relations since many vehicles are beyond warranty protection. GM had "choked up close to $2 million" to take care of their customers who experienced delamination (flaking). The Center for Auto Safety has said"...Chrysler's response to peeling paint is to make consumers complain VERY loudly before taking care of the problem under a secret warranty." The State of South Dakota had a fleet of peeling vans that the CC Zone refused to repair until the State came to CAS for help. If this is you, keep making noise!!!!!
