Body Code Plate Decoding
|
![]() |
The Body code plate is attached to the floor pan under
the passenger seat or on the passenger side of the front face of the radiator
panel. There are seven lines of information, but lines 5, 6, and 7 are not used
to define service information. Line 1 is at the bottom of the plate, line 7
is at the top. Information reads from left to right.. The last code is followed
by the imprinted word END.
When two code plates are required, the last available
spaces on the first plated will be imprinted with the letters CTD, and the first
four spaces of each row on the second plate will not be used because of plate
overlap.
