HP figures are increased for diesels with the automatic by modifying the pump and valve body to increase hydraulic pressure, and by adjusting the torque curve of the engine to increase torque at higher higher engine speeds.

The bad news of the seminar: No Crew Cab 4 door model is planned! Marketing feels that the demand is limited (NOTE: these are the same folks who expected to sell 10,000 diesel units per year by 1999 (they sold over 10,000 in the first year, and 100,000 in 1999, and expected to sell a few hundred 6-speeds in 1999!).
